願い: Blind Sunday, 3 November 2013 | 0 comment[s] Eek. Last Sunday for my volunteering program. Well, technically I finished my 30 hours of volunteering so I'm done. Lmfao. But in the middle while I was somewhat filling out my booklet thing, this lady and her friends came up to me and was asking me how to use the Vietnamese key. Since they told me that they didn't know how to apply it, I pretty much just showed it to them, where to find it and how to use it. Then she asked me how could she get the Vietnamese-English and English-Vietnamese dictionary. Just showed them how and told her that she had to download it and stuff. Luckily for me, her friends knew English and are pretty much really good with technology or something that I didn't have to explain much since they pretty much just explained it for me haha. In the end, I was late for another "client" I have. Haha. We ended up arriving a hour late and like... I kind of felt bad to be honest. There was no way I would've made an old guy wait a hour... Man, I felt really awkward. Haha. It's like... He's... Blind... So it was hard for me to actually teach him things. Haha. Especially because it regards the technology stuff so yeah. Haha. To be honest, I was actually surprised that he could type and that he knew where the keys on the keyboard were. Haha. There's also this program that he has that whenever his cursor would hover above something and it would actually say what it was. Like for example, if he had the cursor above a name or something, it would say the name. On skype, if he had the cursor above the text message box it would actually tell him that it was the text message box. I actually find the box quite good to be honest. Haha. It was really useful but... It's really hard for me to actually teach him because he's blind so yeah... Haha... I don't even know if I'm actually doing a good job or anything. I doubt I am but... I just hope I am... Haha... I really... want to do a good job of this.. Since I would always have my co-workers at the volunteering place to help me but since I'm alone here... I just want to be able to do a good job. Haha. When we finished his wife asked me if I wanted a drink so out of politeness I accepted it. When she came back with the cup and when I raised it to my mouth. I could smell that it was lemonade. Lmfao. BUT SADLY... I drank it anyways... Since I had to. And god damn... After not drinking any soft drinks in a long time... It tasted so weird... Haha. I out the cup down and thought I didn't have to drink anymore but in the end... Mum made me drink all of it so blech. Soft drinks are starting to taste weird to me now. :s But yeah... Couldn't type this on Sunday because I was doing Saturday's post and I got lazy. Haha. Couldn't do it on Monday either because it's in with the IT (which I shall talk about in the next post) and I won't get it back until Wednesday so yeah. Haha. Sigh. I don't even know what to do anymore. I'm just really amused on how whenever I"m on the computer, I type actual proper things. While on the laptop, I just type really weirdly in my opinion. Like, I put more personal comments whenever I"m on the laptop I guess? Haha. I have no idea. |
